Showcasing Some Christmas in July Projects

In an effort to try to do some "catch up" blogging, so I will be showing of the things we have made over the summer months.

We had our annual Christmas in July class to get a jump start on our Christmas projects.  The hit of the class was our center step card made to look like a door to Welcome Christmas into your heart (sentiment retired).
We had previously made the center step card at one of our Funky Folds classes and had the chance to add a Christmas flare to it.

Stamps:  Bright Hopes (retired) and Heard from the Heart (retired)
Paper:  Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Real Red, Always Artichoke
Extras:  Snowburst Impressions Folder, Cobbler Dazzling Details, brad (for doorknob), Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, sponges, Frost White Shimmer Paint, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, and 1" circle punch, snail, dimensionals, glue dots

Using the Beautiful Season Christmas set, we created another beauty with the Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder to really make this one pop.

Stamps:  Beautiful Season, Petite Pairs
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, VeryVanilla and Crumb Cake, Holly Jolly DP (retired)
Ink:  Versamark and Cherry Cobbler
Extras: Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder,  Snowburst Embossing Folder, Cobbler Dazzling Details, brad (for doorknob), Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, sponges, Frost White Shimmer Paint

Using the globe image from the The Open Sea set, we created a simple Christmas card expressing Peace on Earth.
Stamps:  The Open Sea, Merry & Type, Bells & Boughs
Paper: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, and Cherry Cobbler
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Extras: Cherry Cobbler marker, Spritzer, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon, snail, dimensionals

And last we made one of the cards I had been wanting to make for a while.  This was in last years catalog and I kept saying I was going to make it - SO - we FINALLY made it!   And everyone really liked it.

Stamps: Bells & Boughs, Four the Holidays (retired)
Paper: Cherry Cobbler and VeryVanilla
Ink: Pear Pizazz and Cherry Cobbler
Extras:  Corner Rounder, Rhinestones and Pear Pizazz gathered ribbon (retired), Top Note Die, Dimensionals, Snail, Sticky Strip
Inside:  Many Merry Messages (retired) and Bells & Boughs
Extras:  Apothecary Accents Framelits

Hope you enjoyed the projects we pulled together for our Christmas in July class.  If you would like to join us for a class to make some projects for yourself.  Check out my website at:  www.lindacarter.stampinup.net for the next class or to contact me.

Happy Stamping,
Linda
